Main Commandement
The Love of Neighbour

(Part two)

And now the second part of the Main Commandment comes to the
lover’s help. For JESUS actually said: „As long as you did it to one of
these My least brethren, you did it to Me.” How will a loving soul
shout for joy on account of this promise of JESUS! Consequently,
she is given the chance to do her Beloved a personal (physical) kind-
ness. By doing it to a person in the Name of CHRIST, she does it to
Himself and personally. What a happiness, what a bliss! And since
there is only one maxim for lovers: „Only the best and most expen-
sive is good enough for Him!“ she spends herself in all she does for
Him. It has to be something special – indeed it has to cost some-
thing because love is the mother of invention. And the most expen-
sive is usually the love of enemy!
