1 Tim. 5,22 Impose not hands lightly upon any man: neither be
partaker of other men’s sins! Keep yourself chaste.
For those are the legacies of JESUS CHRIST, which he has left to the
Church, among other things, such as the priestly power of blessing, etc.
Meaning of the Sacraments
Now to those who believe they can do without the Church and the Sac-
raments!
Exactly because CHRIST knew that the soul parches or dies if she does
not receive nourishment, He instituted the Sacraments. The Church can
distribute these to the souls through the validly ordained Priest as spir-
itual nourishment, strengthening and refreshment! Whoever believes
not to be in need of this despite our SAVIOUR’s knowing better, says
nothing other than: „Dear GOD, I do believe in You and once I will
certainly come to You in Heaven without having to accept Your graces
instituted for this purpose! I will come to You because I will manage on
my own! I do not need Your help!“
However, he who builds on himself does not build on GOD, but on
sand! He who spurns GOD’s help and instructions will come to
nothing.
From all this one ought to recognize that the true Church of CHRIST
should be the first authority on earth. Not the state, mind you, but
the Church of CHRIST! For also the state government must act by
GOD’s command. Did CHRIST not say to Pilate as the latter boasted
about his state authority: „You should not have any power …, unless it
were given you from Above (from Heaven)!“
GOD made man and the earth and gave them a task. In order to fulfil
it, the Church is needed because, ever since the redeeming act of
CHRIST, the goal of this divine mission is everlasting life in the beatitude
and vision of GOD. However, the state can only render minor assis-
tance here. No statesman is able to save a dead soul from damnation,
neither the president or king of a country, nor the highest judge or pub-
lic prosecutor. This is possible for the simplest yet validly ordained
