Sword-Bishop – His Personal Development
                       «Be You My Sword-Bishop!»

And again a new trial came for Father Nikolaus. GOD demanded that
he should be consecrated bishop. Again it was the same as with the
priestly ordination. He was absolutely sure about GOD’s will and wish.
But how was Bishop Franck to understand this, or even the people? And
          so he asked GOD:

«Let the bishop know this Yourself.»

Here, too, he resigned himself to GOD’s dispensation again. As with
the priestly ordination, the bishop approached him anew and said to
him: «I sense quite clearly that GOD wants me to consecrate you
bishop.» So this bishop set a date when this was to be done. However,
as with the priestly ordination, he suddenly hesitated again. Once
more, GOD Himself intervened to see His will fulfilled, because His
holy plan and will had to be carried out. And so, out of the blue, new in-
vestigations into Bishop Franck were started. When even the police
turned up at the house again and made enquiries, Bishop Franck
feared a new arrest. Consequently, he chose the day for Father
Nikolaus’ consecration as bishop. Moreover, Bishop Franck was con-
sidering his retirement, as he was completely exhausted by the slander
and abuse from the press and much more …!

«Before I was consecrated bishop, the SAVIOUR told me: „Now go to
My Mother because as bishop you must receive the motherliness of the
          Church from her.“»

On 27 August 1977, the feast day of the holy Apostle Bartholomew,
Father Nikolaus was consecrated bishop in Sittard (Holland) according
to the Roman Catholic rite. On the way to the consecration the
SAVIOUR let Himself be heard and said to him:
          «Be you My Sword-Bishop!»

When asked about it today, the Sword-Bishop’s unchanging reply is:

«GOD knows and that is enough.»
